Jungkook Saturday night in Central Park, New York, USA was colored with a huge wave of K-pop. Despite the inclement weather, the audience, dressed in raincoats, gave enthusiastic cheers and exclamations toward the stage, forgetting about the chilly weather.

On the afternoon of the 23rd (local time), BTS Jungkook appeared as a headliner at the ‘Global Citizen Festival’, a large-scale outdoor music festival, at Central Park. The Global Citizen Festival is a large-scale charity performance held by the international civic movement organization Global Citizen and has been held every year since 2012 to raise awareness of global problems such as extreme poverty, hunger, and climate change.

BTS appeared at this event in 2021 and performed 'Permission to Dance' and 'Butter' against the backdrop of Korea's national treasure, Sungnyemun Gate. At the event, Jungkook was named as a headliner along with rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers and pop star Lauryn Hill. He is the first K-pop solo singer to appear at this event.

At the event, which was broadcast on YouTube, when it was Jungkook's turn, there was a louder cheer than any other stage. The 'ARMY' (BTS fandom), dressed in the purple raincoat symbolizing BTS, held their mouths in disbelief and welcomed his appearance.

Jungkook appeared in a comfortable shirt and started the stage with his solo songs ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Still With You’. His soft voice and emotional melody accompanied by a live band fit well with fall. “Let us continue to make our impact so that everyone, everywhere has access to basic rights like food and education,” Jungkook said to the cheering audience. Next, Jungkook's official solo debut song and global hit song 'Seven' came out, and the concert hall was filled with screams of 'yay'.

In particular, the introductory song 'Weight of the World on Your Shoulders' was sung in unison. In addition, rapper Lato, who sang with Seven, appeared and created an even hotter stage. This is the first time Rato shared the stage with Jungkook. Next, BTS' English hit songs 'Permission To Dance', 'Dynamite', and 'Butter' were performed as a medley. On this day, Jungkook's gestures and expressions were full of composure, and the audience applauded and cheered as they all sang along to his songs.

The highlight of the day's performance was the end of the stage. On this day, Jungkook surprisingly revealed plans to release his new digital single '3D'. '3D', which will be released on the 29th, is a song of the R&B pop genre that expresses feelings about someone who cannot be reached through the first, second, and third dimensions. Hive, the agency, said that we can see a more mature solo singer Jungkook after 'Seven'.

'3D' featured rapper Jack Harlow, who topped Billboard's 'Hot 100' with 'Industry Baby' along with Lil Nas X. Jungkook's new song was released about two months after 'Seven' last July. He emerged as a global solo pop star, reaching number one on Billboard's 'Hot 100' with 'Seven'. On this day, videos and photos promoting the release of '3D' were also released on Weverse, a fan community. Meanwhile, at this event, 3Racha, a producing unit (small group) consisting of Bang Chan, Chanbin, and Han of the recently popular group Stray Kids, also appeared on stage. They walked across the stage and sang ‘HEYDAY’, ‘TOPLINE’, etc. However, Stray Kids' other members Lee Know, Hyunmin, and Seungmin were unable to attend due to a car accident on the 20th.
